Morrisey Announces Retirement

Mike Morrisey, Director of Community Development for the city of Wausau, has announced his retirement, effective June 2.

Morrisey returned to work following an internal investigation that cleared him of misconduct in regards to a wrongful termination suit currently pending before the state involving a former employee.

   On May 9th, we were told that Mr. Immel’s final written report would be filed with the city by Monday, May 12. Presumably, this would be more detailed than the previous presentation to the council and subsequent gear-free “press conference.” I’ve haven’t been waiting, breathlessly, for a transcript or whatever, but … has anyone heard anything?
