We want to thank everyone for coming to Malarkey’s last night. It was

Question for the week.
Given the birth of Sneak Peak, and the goal of a larger festival, do
you think that Wausau can support (financially) a multiday, multi
genre, music festival?
What is Sneak Peak?
I have always seen MM as one of those dudes who are in the know about such things… so thanks to that question.. I no longer feel nearly as stupid

No.
I think the case can be made for yes. Look at Fuddfest, Hodag, and all the other country festivals that dot rural Wisconsin. Or even the Big Bull Falls Blues Fest we just had.
I don’t know if Sneak Peek is the one that’s going to do it, though. What those festivals I named earlier have in common is they feature acts that will have at least a regional draw. Sneak peak doesn’t. (regional band and regional draw are two different things) If they treat the acts well and the stars align they could evolve to a festival where people come becaus of all the different acts they can see, but I would expect some growing pains en route.
