Are youse guys from here? Really?

I come from Southern England and therefore was rarely subject to the joys of the snow. At this time of year I am always absolutely astounded at the total inadequacy of many drivers who must have grown up with this stuff! PEOPLE! Learn to drive!

The other day I was driving in Schofield behind a guy in a huge 4wd truck who must have been local due to the Packer plates. At 10 mph he was fishtailing so badly that he took up both lanes! First opportunity I had I blasted past the moron, figuring it safer to have him crash behind me rather than in front. As I gassed up my 27yr old station wagon (2wd) here came the same slaloming behemoth of a vehicle, all wheels spinning, direction ascertainable.

This was just one instance. As I travel up and down Grand Ave twice a day, and various other roads, I am amazed at the total incompetence displayed behind the wheel, the moment the weather is anything but sunny. Those in big trucks and SUVs seem to be the worst, even without cell phones clamped to their numb skulls. While some refuse to slow to within 10mph of the official limit, others slow to 20mph at the first sign of a cloud! Where does one learn to drive in this manner? How can they afford such expensive vehicles when they are so determined to destroy them?

These are the people who force the vehicle insurance rates so high. These are your friends and family members. Some of them must be drunk, a popular driving mode around here.

Sometime I wonder if these inbred, 4 wheeled, death merchants actually grew up far South from here, where there is no snow or ice.

P.S. Please would y’all stop complaining to me about the cold! This is Wisconsin. It is now Winter. Learn to deal with it, I have!

The inbred, 4 wheeled, death merchants live in the South also. It is not so much ice as it is rain. While it may be a stretch to suggest that rain is as hazardous as ice and snow, invariably all traffic is delayed for hours when it rains because someone caused a wreck.

Balding tires +high speed +Texas rains = wreck.
