My Journey Back to Health

Hoping that all the years of fun might be reversible

The Eye Thing

by Dino Corvino on November 27th, 2007

Marcus posted a question about my eye. My right eye has been a problem since around 1992. I damaged my cornea, and have been treating it since then, as the eyeball is a hard thing to cure. It dries out at night, and rips the scar, and a result you get no real healing.

So, two years ago Dr. Calvin Sprick did a PTK laser surgery on my eye. I guess the way to describe it, is as a sort of laser polsh. Smoothing the cells, so at night they would not ave anything rough to grab onto. Thusly, my eye heals better.

At night I have to put Muro 128 ointment in my eye, to prevent said drying, just as a precaution now more than anything.

From time to time my eye gets bumped, and sort of goes into spasm. The pain is bad, but not like the pain from the tearing of the skin. When that happens I go to the emergency room for a drop to dialate my eyeball, to relax the spasm.

Hence the eye thing.

Dude, that’s more than I ever wanted to know about your eyeball.

Now that I read that, my eye feels itchy. Weird!
