My Journey Back to Health  Hoping that all the years of fun might be reversible

Doctor Follow Up

by Dino Corvino on January 15th, 2008

So yesterday I went in for my check up with Dr. Reed. It was nice, and easy and quick. She checked my pulse, blood pressure (which now is in normal range just with weight loss and exercise), and refilled my meds.

I lost a pound since last thursday at my last class. The thing with that is that on Saturday I had a rough day. Just a sort of brutal day. It was work, and I just got slammed. I was in Milwaukee, and I did not go to the Comet. I just ran to the Whole Foods store, got Camambert for my boss at the newspaper, and sprinted home.

I got home and I ate like crazy, or what passes for crazy these days. My number would have been more, but I over ate on Saturday. I feel bad about it.

Writing makes me meloncholy.

Doing my Y thing … the last two times (yesterday and Saturday) I weighed in with no change. I’m eating less and better, getting exercise, chopping firewood, but no drop. That just happens. I’m headed to the Y again today at lunch. I don’t expect any drop today either, but I’m staying the course, and really, need to step up the level a bit. But, I’ll say this … I feel better, fitter.
