It was off putting to take on the diet starting on monday, given that tuesday I was going to have to be in Madison all day for work. So, today was a sort of a cheat day, but not as bad as you might think.
I ate a regular breakfast, but did not get to the gym prior to leaving. So, I skipped the pre workout meal. I brought a snack for the road, in the car. I had to pull over and find someplace to eat it, but I did.
My lunch was off the page. I went to the Taj, a Indian buffet. I had one plate. It was mostly rice and some forms of vegetables, and chicken. I think it was at least. It was the proper portion size. Sadly I chose a coke, but I was wiped out from the morning session at the Capitol, so that was find I think.
The ride home was brutal for a few reasons. First off, I got lost, twice. Madison is not my town, really not my town. But, my pretend wife is there, so it must have some good qualities.
The car was a terrible car. The mitsubishi eclipse. It looks sort of okay, but sort of not. And the ride is terrible. My knees were sore, my arms are sore from the vibration and terrible suspension. It also rained, so I am sure I was gripping the wheel rather tight.
Tonight I went to the Y and walked on the treadmill for 40 minutes. And then spent 30 minutes stretching. I am embarrassed at how little I stretch, and from now on that has to be part of it.
Night America.
