Microcrosm Trailer is Complete!

Sorry blog fans, but the trailer was actually on YouTube yesterday as I see some of you already found via perhaps Twitter, being a fan of Stop That Nun on Facebook, or just checking out StopThatNun.com.

But I felt I need to write that George Carlin post a bit more. Hopefully you all didn’t mind a little trip into my personal life a little bit with that entry.

But yes, the Microcosm trailer is up on YouTube for easy viewing, or you can see a higher resolution version over on StopThatNun.com. The picture cut was done a little earlier, but Stephenie was thankfully her perfectionist self and demanded a better recording of the song featured in the trailer: Summer by Ryan and Kaitlin. So she did it herself and I think it sounds fantastic. Much like the rest of the cast and crew, Stephenie was a great find of a rare audio/visual artist in the central Wisconsin area ready to tear the world in half. It’s a shame there isn’t real work in this area for folks like her.

So enjoy the microcosm trailer!

The rough cut of the film will no doubt be completed before the July 5th dead-line which makes me quite happy. Seth Callaway, co-Producer and Gaffer, has been in the edit room with me many times now helping me out with his different set of aesthetics and keeping the film fresh. Brett Widmann, music supervisor, has also come by multiple times to toss in his pair of pennies as well. All of it has helped this rough cut look more and more like a fine cut. I’m looking forward to handing it off to Stephenie for audio and seeing the magic she can spin.

    And isn’t that song crazy catchy? It’s insane to think that it’s written and performed by local high school students. I certainly never had anything of that much artistic worth under my belt when I was in high school.
