Building on the idea of grassroots organization, old town hall meetings and citizen journalism, Citizen Wausau is a web-based environment focused on giving voices to the people of Central Wisconsin. We seek to empower contributors to speak their minds. We also want to create an environment rich in diverse comments about the articles posted here. We seek to maintain our civility as to show the world the best face of our community.
Wausau is a growing city. As we launch this in 2007, we see the leaps of development and growth in our downtown and all around the city, and we seek to be voices in the discussion as to the direction of that development. We seek to be heard.
