Let me go ‘Rock and Roll’
My mind is in such a rush right now, and right now being the past several days and currently.
Last week on Thursday I attended a KT Tunstall (never have been a fan) concert with my friend, as she had an extra (free) ticket. Well, lo and behold, Paddy Casey opened for her. *I have been a fan of Paddy’s music and his hottness for close to seven years. To make a long story short, he asked me out. YES!!! He effin did!!! He said he’d like to see me prior to him leaving America for Ireland; that we would connect up soon. I believe this was my fifteen minutes of fame. Crazy.
This amazing occurrence could not have happened at a better time, as I, yes me, broke off my relationship with my boyfriend of close to a year. Interesting enough, I feel just as emotional if I was to be the dumpee. I have no yearning right now to be social and it takes a shit-ton of effort to be social. Time heals. I do think time heals, but for those that believe life is short, then I question if some individuals take too much time to grieve and recover? Are we wasting “precious” moments? For me, I easily could be, yet lying in my bed watching movies, reading, listening to KISS albums on my record player consistently, and writing this blog is just as preferred as going out, getting wasted and partaking in acts of debauchery. Don’t get me wrong, I love that all too, but for now “this” seems fitting.
On a more lively note, I will be visiting my parents and sister this coming Memorial Day weekend in Wausau. My parents idea of fun is gardening, landscaping and grilling out. I’m all for grilling out hardcore-style, just not so much for the dirt and worms things. But, their hard work has paid off, as their yard was on the garden tour twice in the past three years. Not to mention my sister and I have always been fortunate to have parents that actually care for their yard and home. Albeit, at times our homes have been messy (we’ve had five due to career promotions/changes), but never filthy.
Well, to those who may actually read this, I apologize for the randomness. In all honesty, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Not everything that’s happening is “bad” currently, as countless wonderful things have also occurred, be them towards me or with my family and friends.
Anyways, PI here I come!

I happen to know your parents and they are really cool people, if a little retro. No beers and brats here. The money saved by not traveling this weekend(it’s like the neighborhood is a haven)will result in grilled salmon, succulent shrimp, and lean steaks(no hormones here). Now what to serve for drinks?? A crisp sauvignon and ‘P” Manhattan is on the menu.
An Xtra pair of garden gloves are awaiting your arrival.
Wausau can be a fun, hangout kinda town. After being in a “Big City”, I would’nt give up the party haven in one’s own backyard in this smaller town.
Get your Butt home and fall in “like” with this home town one again.

In response to gardenwoman113… thanks for the “nudge” to come home. I will be there with my party hat on. Heck, maybe I’ll just stay for rest of the summer… now that would be AMAZING!!!
In response to Tom Neal… I know. Cheeseburgers = Hott. Enough said.
